History



360° is a fixed mathematical concept, a daring skateboard jump and the magic formula DDB Germany has been using to define successful creativity since 1962 - the year DDB Dusseldorf opened the first DDB office on European soil.

By supporting Volkswagen in its home country, the foundation for international operations was laid and DDB Group Germany was born. 

The new leadership team of DDB Group Germany was set up in spring 2003 with Dr Tonio Kröger (Chief Executive Officer), Amir Kassaei (Chief Creative Officer), Margit Scheller-Wegener (Chief People and Communication Officer) and Norbert Knapp (Chief Financial Officer) pooling their efforts to add a new German chapter to the success story of DDB, directed from the office in Berlin.

Strategic planning, classic advertising, trade marketing and literature fall under the core competencies of DDB Berlin and DDB Dusseldorf.

However, in conjunction with our specialized agencies, we are also able to create complete 360° communication concepts and be present in all communication channels.

Proof of the pudding that DDB Group Germany is a communication agency and not simply an advertising agency.
